LOVE! with so many options for Chinese in Victoria, you can't go wrong with Sampan Express. If you are looking for table side service, linen, candle light, may be a bottle of wine.....etc.. this would NOT be the place for you . They aren't the best but hey.... for around 10 bucks a head you get a decent meal , I had a 3 items combo from their hot table for just $9.25 + tax. my girlfriend Linda had a wonton soup......best wonton.....said Linda. Today, @ about 530pm while visiting the Tim Horton's located @ 1410 Blanshard St. Victoria BC I was completely WOWed by an employee named Skye! She went the extra mile delivering OUTSTANDING customer service and making sure our dining experience was pleasant and delicious!If it were up to me, she would get a raise, a promotion and receive benefits medical/dental to ensure she would continue to be a Tim Horton's employee! I sat down just to expect the normal McDonald's experience but the food I got was above all kinds of McDonald's here I was served my 6 McNuggets but there was 7. It was a splendid day and my roommate had collected some change from returning empties to the depot. We walked to the cafe together and talked about how we are going to order food and coffee, but we were about to change our mind last minute, yet we ended up at Tim Horton's. One of the girl's who worked there asked my friend never to bring her there again, so I felt uncomfortable as all the visits I have had to Tim Horton's were sacred and held a lot of meaning to me, my classmates and family. We ordered the coffee quickly and ate sweet pastries outside and drank our one coffee that we shared. This was one of the worst visit I had, although staff was well presented and dressed and professional in preparing our order in a timely manner and courteous demeanor. In the past I always went to Tim Horton's to study, or discuss politics, current affairs and art with my friends, classmates and neighbours. The restaurant's I went to were always well maintained, and lit with Neon lighting just like this one. The interior design was always consistent and there was music playing in the background.
